Very large old map of Turkey and the Asian part of the Turkish empire from 1880 (circa). This French antique map is very colorful and is colored by hand. The prime meridian runs through Paris, because it is a French map, and not through Greenwich as on most modern maps. Printed on sturdy paper and with wide margins, very suitable for framing.
Dimensions: 60 x 82 cm (very large for an antique map)
Condition: The map is in good condition (= some small signs of age and use and a 3 cm tear at the bottom of the centre fold - in good general condition).
Origin: Atlas Universel, Physique, Historique et Politique - AH Dufour- Edition 1880 (approximately)
