Old English map of Asia from the year 1860 (circa). It is a map by the famous mapmaker John Rapkin with the typical decorative border. This version however has no vignettes. The black and white map is very detailed (see the photos) and you may need a magnifying glass to read the details with the naked eye.
Dimensions: 27 x 35 cm (the card is slightly narrower at the top: 34 cm)
Condition: moderate. Price reduced. The map was folded in an antique encyclopedia and therefore has a horizontal and two vertical fold lines. The vertical fold lines have been folded incorrectly several times and are therefore no longer flat and the other folds around them are visible. The upper left corner is missing (as issued, so that the map could be folded better).
