Rapkin maps are sought after and are therefore becoming increasingly rare.This edition of the map comes from an old encyclopedia (The Royal Dictionary Cyclopaedia) published in (circa) 1860. It does not have the vignettes that other Rapkin maps have, but it does have the decorative border.
Dimensions: 28 x 34 cm (measured at the top, at its narrowest)
Condition: to ensure this map could be included in the encyclopedia, it was issued with fold lines (2 vertical and 1 horizontal) and the top corners are missing. Some minor signs of age. Overall in fair/good condition.
