For sale is a beautiful large antique German world map with a double hemisphere projection. This informative map shows the borders of the various oceans (the borders are colored) and also shows in which ocean precipitation on land eventually ends up. Bottom left is the hemisphere with the largest water surface, bottom right the hemisphere with the largest land mass. In between is a projection of the earth's surface with the north pole as its center. The design year 1879 is in the title. The map was printed in 1880, this is also printed under the map.
Dimensions: 39 x 47 cm
Condition: good / very good. Tiny tear at bottom of centerfold. Printed on heavy paper.
