New Zealand has been partially discovered.Tasmania is still connected to Australia, as is New Guinea.Fictitious filled in NorthwestAmerica.
The title of the map is 'Histoire de la Decouverte des Mondes Nouveau et Inconnu' (=History of the discovery of the new and unknown worlds) and the French text in the side panels is about the discovery of America, the North Pole, the South Pole andOceania.A nice detail is the year 1761 printed in the border.
