For sale is a beautiful French world map from 1780. This 245+ year-old map was designed by Rigobert Bonne and comes from the renowned atlas accompanying the third edition of Raynal's "Histoire des deux Indes." The map clearly shows that North America was largely uncharted at the time. Many countries, such as Japan and Australia, also have unusual shapes.
Dimensions: 24.5 x 36.5 cm
Condition: good (some minor signs of age and use, see photos, but in good overall condition). With a vertical center fold, as issued.
